Our latest crop theme was our favourite song and for me “Pressure Drop” just makes me want to get up and skank no matter where I am or what I’m doing! This toon always reminds me of our fave times & our great friends at Scooter rallies where we generally spend the evenings roaring drunk and the days badly hungover – what more could you want!
Well folks it’s been a little while since I posted and the past couple of weeks have been poo I have to say. Firstly I was struck down with a horrid tonsilitis type bug which is all you need when you have 3 busy weeks ahead of you and can barely speak, then it seems that every piece of technology I’ve come into contact with over the last few weeks is out to get me by breaking down. Said printer has decided to give up the ghost after all so we’ve installed an old one – of course, that one has no card reader so now I can’t upload any images to the site, blog or anywhere else, most annoying. Pentax still havent bothered to contact me about our camera which was sent off for repair about 5 weeks ago as it suddenly decided to break in a very spectacular way. then yesterday I spent half an hour with my cricut wondering why the image I was selecting was the wrong one until I realised I had the wrong cartridge with the wrong overlay. DOH DOH DOH! i think me and technology are just doomed at the mo and maybe it’s my electonic karma or something but I feel I should give anythign which plugs in a very wide berth for a while!
The good news is our Bithday celebrations are over and we’ve managed to raise almost £200 for charity with hopefully a little more to add from the Crimbo Craft party in a couple of weeks time which I’m now busy prepping up for with some yummy new papers and stuff we have.
Anyway I’d better push on, came in early cos I have lots to do and as usual have got distracted! TTFN xx
You know how small things please small minds… (well they do for me anyway!)… My printer decided to play stupid 2 weeks ago and tell me there was no ink in it which there obviously was, and after 2 weeks of messing about & being at the end of my tether and thinking I was going to have to admit defeat and get another, I found a great forum with a fix on it today and tried first time and yaaaayy, it worked! It was almost worth getting out of bed for this morning! Sad I know, but my life is very small! 🙂
So anyway, I havent’ had a very creative week although I’m in the middle of making cards for our birthday demo’s next week AND they’ve decided to auction me off, too! Or at least 2 hours of my time anyway. For charity of course! So it will be interesting to see how much I’m worth, or not, as the case may be. Hope we raise lots of dosh or it will be totally embarassing!
Anyway, I’m off to nurse my sore throat (I’m sounding very sultry today) and saok my cold feet in some nice hot water, so ta ta!
I made this circle card for the BBTB challenge where we had to use the Ampersand from the George Cartridge on the Cricut. As soon as I saw the challenge I knew I had to incorporate this theme as the message is used on our wedding rings which are made by my favourite British jewellery designer, Diana Porter. My lovely hubby chose the rings and ever since he tries to buy me an additional piece from the collection each year. I made the card for him as an early anniversary card for next month (I knew I couldn’t get away without him seeing it, so it’s not as tight as it sounds and I’m sure I’ll make him another!!)
